I’m an Instructional Designer with fifteen years of experience creating high-quality, inclusive learning experiences in higher education. At Michigan State University’s central IT department, I collaborate with faculty and academic units on course design, LMS implementation, and educational technology integration. My work focuses on making courses more accessible, engaging, and pedagogically effective across online, hybrid, and in-person formats. These collaborations often involve rethinking course structure, aligning learning outcomes with interactive tools, and using technology to support student success.

My design approach is grounded in student-centered pedagogy. I specialize in building asynchronous and blended experiences that incorporate multimedia, interactivity, learner flexibility, and community-building tools—reflecting my belief in education as a collaborative and creative process.

With a background in creative writing and many years of experience as a college instructor, I bring a honed sense of tone, clarity, and structure to the learning experiences I design—skills that support the development of cohesive, inclusive, and engaging course environments. I also lead professional development workshops on topics ranging from inclusive teaching strategies to effective LMS use and the implementation of educational technology tools.

Outside of work, I’m a lifelong learner with a passion for writing, reading, and studying LGBTQ+ representation in film and literature—interests that inform my commitment to inclusive course design and equitable learning environments where all learners feel seen and supported.
